Job Summary
ABJ & Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced tax preparer. This is a seasonal position with a flexible schedule. We’re looking for a qualified candidate to join our team starting in January 2025 on a recurring seasonal basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client interviews and provide exceptional customer service.
- Review financial records and prepare tax returns (primarily Form 1040, including schedules C and E).
- Contact clients for additional information as needed.
- Research and apply tax laws for atypical returns.
- Provide tax planning advice and resolve client complaints.
- Ensure the confidentiality of client information.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with office standards.
Requirements:
- Availability from January to April.
- Experience with Form 1040 series and tax preparation.
- A current PTIN or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comply with company policies and maintain client confidentiality.
- Experience with ATX and TaxDome is preferred.
Compensation:
- Commission-based pay, determined by experience and knowledge.
- Simple IRA with employer matching.
- Flexible schedule (Saturdays required).
