Punch Press Operator/Set Up

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Press Operator and Set up person to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of presses, ensuring precision and quality in the production process. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, quality inspection processes, and the ability to work effectively in a small manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up stamping presses and other machinery to produce high-quality stampings.
• Set up tooling and adjust machine settings to meet production specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or inconsistencies.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

• Proficient in programming machinery for optimal performance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in tooling and setup processes.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality assurance.
• Experience with stamping press operations is highly desirable.
• Experience operating lathes and other machining tools is beneficial.
• We will train candidates that have manufacturing experience.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
