Accounting Clerk

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting various accounting functions. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of general ledger accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable transactions and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
• Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in credit analysis and evaluate customer creditworthiness.
• Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
• Utilize financial software, including ADP and Sage, for efficient data management.
• Conduct 10 key typing for data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy.
• Support month-end close processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems is essential.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is advantageous.
