Role Description
This is a full-time in office role for a Purchasing Coordinator at ABLAZE Design Group located in Highwood, IL. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for managing purchasing processes, generating purchase orders, and overseeing procurement activities on a day-to-day basis.
Job Duties:
· Purchasing: Responsible for research, procurement and coordination of special-order products and assist with ordering materials for renovation projects.
Hardware, Countertops, Mirrors, Etc.
· Accept and coordinate all deliveries (packages & materials) to office/shop - labeling and storing neatly in allocated areas.
· Track material deliveries and returns.
· Negotiate with vendors and research competitive pricing to help achieve company goals.
· Develop relationships with suppliers / vendors - Establish contact with new vendors to support the various divisions of the company as directed.
· Aid the cabinetry sales & design process as assigned by Manager
· Design check and process cabinetry orders as directed.
· Conduct checks with inventory materials on-hand and reconcile i.e. Making sure Customer products are at shop, are accounted for when the job needs them.
· Maintaining and updating company catalogues and sample libraries
Qualifications
· Purchasing Processes and Purchase Orders skills
- Proficiency in Purchasing and Procurement activities
- Microsoft Office
- Experience in vendor management and negotiations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Design, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $42,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
