Description:
Able Composites is seeking an experienced Metals Production Manager to oversee the production of metal products, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while managing teams and processes in metal fabrication and manufacturing.
Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely and efficient production.
Oversee and improve metal forming and fabrication processes.
Ensure the metal products meet quality standards and specifications.
Monitor and control production costs, seeking opportunities for cost reduction.
Ensure a safe work environment for all team members.
Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
Identify and resolve production issues promptly and effectively.
Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and sales.
Understand various metal fabrication techniques and processes.
Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
Set ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel.
Provide motivation, support and guidance to all team members.
Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management.
Act as liaison between all levels to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies and all matters that affect team member's performance, attitudes, and results.
Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels.
Control and minimize labor overtime and maintain labor tracking.
Work with leadership team to ensure meeting sales targets.
Requirements:
Prior welding or fabrication experience.
Ability to plan and organize projects.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Prior experience leading a team.
Prior TIG and MIG welding on aluminum, stainless, galvanized and carbon steel.
Prior sheet metal fabrication experience working with aluminum, stainless, galvanized and carbon steel.
Ability to proactively identify problems and propose solutions.
Ability to lift 50 plus pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Must actively engage in safe working practices.
Must be able to tolerate hot working conditions and loud environment.
Adhere to personal protection guidelines for self and team members.
Complete required tasks, quotas, and assignments prior to or within deadlines given.
Continue to perform well under pressure and adapt to change.
Lead, coach, and mentor a team fostering a positive and high-performing environment.
