Starting compensation for a Full Time Direct Support Lead ranges from $18.00 - $23/hr based on experience.
Hours: Shifts will vary between early morning, daytime, and pm.
This position participates in weekend rotation and holiday rotation.
As a Direct Support Lead you will perform a variety of tasks during the course of your day:
- Assist people supported in becoming valued members of their community by helping them develop friendships and maintain family relationships.
- Demonstrate respect for each person's right to dignity, privacy, individualized attention, and choice.
- Be knowledgeable of the vulnerabilities and needs of people supported, demonstrating the ability to implement all plans of protection relating to those vulnerabilities
- Be knowledgeable of the capacities, gifts and interests of people supported, demonstrating the ability to advocate on behalf of the person.
- Teach people supported living skills, while promoting opportunities to increase independence, choice and self-motivation.
- Demonstrate consistent use of behavior intervention and management techniques in a manner which is respectful and as least intrusive as possible.
- Implement programs and activities as specified and assigned.
- Monitor and assure that the clothing and personal items of all people supported are appropriate to need and choice.
- Is knowledgeable of the histories, formal assessments, Community Support Service Plans (CSSP) and Individual Assessment/Risk Management Plans (IA/RMP) of the people supported.
- Order medications and medical supplies
- Balance People Supported Check Books
- Oversee house petty cash/EOM balance.
- Perform house grocery shopping

To help you complete these task we provide all direct care staff with:
- Positive Behavior Support Training
- First Aid Training
- Medication Training
- Annual trainings and refresher classes
Requirements:
- A desire to work with people with developmental disabilities
- Prior supervisory experience helpful
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Good Attendance
- You are not required to be a Certified Nursing Assistant CNA but CNAs are welcome
- Cleared as a driver for the agency
This is a Full-time position, participating in weekend and holiday rotation, providing direct care to people with developmental disabilities.
Salary : $18 - $23
