ABLE Team Lead
Kansas City/Independence Locations: Mon-Fri 2p.m-10 (hours may vary) and with on-call responsibility.
Able Independent Care, LLC- Supports Individuals with Developmental Disabilities of all ages in their goal for Independence.
Candidate-Has to be reliable, friendly, dependable, responsible, loves working with Individuals with disabilities and doesn't need to be micromanaged. Can be supportive but firm, take pride and ownership of maintaining your site. Reliable transportation to and from work and valid driver's license. Must have GED/high school diploma. Good time management and organization skills and willing to work well and communicate with co-workers effectively. Follow directions and systems already in place at our small agency. Again, with on call responsibility.
Must Have's: Valid driver's license, Medication aid and CPR/FA certificates, proof of education completion.
Responsibilities
Transport individuals (Shopping, activities, health care appointments, home, work/day programs)
Attend meetings every one/two weeks
Schedule appointments
Complete monthly reports accurately and in a timely manner
Conduct staff meetings monthly
Schedule staff for shifts when needed, complete on-call rotation duties (in absence of manager).
Complete daily documentation and monthly outcomes according to the individual's plan
Ensure a safe and clean environment.
Complete documentation checks of co-workers
Assist Individuals with all types of disabilities (physical, mental, developmental)
Other duties will follow to support the agency and individuals and is subject to change at any given time.
Light to medium Cleaning (willing to clean if the individual
Assist with and support individuals with undesired behaviors such as (self-harm, yelling, and tantrums)
Meal prep/cooking, Assist with toileting and bathing, Pay attention to detail, Complete daily checks, Complete accurate and daily paper checks
Will have to complete all required trainings to keep employment (orientation and on work date anniversary) according to the Dept. of Mental Health (KCRO) and ABLE standards throughout the year. Must pass background check. Flexible schedule is needed, -On-call responsibilities is a must (taking calls and able adjust schedule to fill shifts on short notice)
