We are seeking a meticulous Quality Technician to join our team at Able. Ability to stay focused despite surrounding activities and perform detailed measurements and inspections with high-level accuracy is critical to success in the role.
About the Role
Utilizing technology and quality management systems, the Quality Technician strives to improve, test, and document product conformance with requirements.
Essential Function / Duties*
Metrology
- Use measuring equipment for its intended use and document the results.
- Perform acceptance activities supporting multiple activities (e.g. receiving, in-process, final inspection, & documentation).
- Read inspection requirements, utilize manual gauges, operate vision systems, CMMs.
- Create and approve customer certificates of conformance.
- Document nonconformance of goods and services.
- Review and audit medical device records for comprehensiveness.
- Complete records using good documentation practices.
- Execute document and record control activities.
- Support implementation and execution of lean manufacturing methods.
- Assist in process validations and gauge repeatability studies.
- Document work instructions within the Quality Management System.
- Implement and support a process to determine inspection method validation requirements (GR&R).
- Assist in the investigation, root cause analysis, planning, and execution of activities within the CAPA system.

Work Schedule / Supervision
Position: Full-time: 40 hours/week, potential for more.
Position Status: Non-exempt position; with compensation and without notice
Recommended Education / Experience
Education: High school education, post-secondary education in manufacturing technology or laboratory sciences preferred.
Experience: 2 years of experience in manufacturing technology or laboratory sciences; familiarity with inspection tools and processes is preferred.
