Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
• Assist customers with product inquiries and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is displayed attractively and organized.
• Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area to promote a welcoming environment.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support.
• Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure resolution.

Skills

• Proficient in cash register operation and cash handling procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Basic math skills, including retail math for accurate pricing and change calculations.
• Experience in upselling products to enhance customer experience.
• Ability to supervise and mentor team members as needed.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
• Attention to detail in stocking merchandise and maintaining store standards.
