Job Summary
Within the Mission established for Friendship Industries, Inc. & Able Solutions, Inc., the Forklift Operator is expected to complete complex projects that requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. This associate has a passion for helping others while meeting production demands and timelines. Maintains a consistent application of safety and quality compliance and regulations. The Forklift Operator acts as a role model of professionalism, ethical behavior, and effective decision-making at all times to support our mission and ongoing business strategies.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner
- Operate wrapping equipment as necessary
- Operate a 26ft Non-CDL box truck occasionally between facilities
- Assist material handlers with shipping and receiving material to balance workload and maintain organization
- Pull jobs for production, maintain paperwork such as inbound forms, inventory tags, and inventory for materials shipped or received
- Document materials loaded and unloaded with high accuracy
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Transport/rotate raw materials on production floor and workstations
- Inspect equipment on a daily basis as a preventative maintenance measure to ensure safe operation
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Alert
- Help maintain a safe and orderly work space
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proven experience as forklift operator (we will provide certification)
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial and warehouse equipment
- Ability to maintain FI/AS certified forklift license
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. consistently
- Ability to stand, bend and twist throughout the shift
- Valid driver’s license
- Flexible, as in you are able to work overtime and help out as needed
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
