CNC Machinist

Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist with hands-on experience in GibbsCAM programming to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC mills and/or lathes, programming using GibbsCAM, and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) to produce precision components.
• Create and edit CNC programs using GibbsCAM software.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
• Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance and reporting issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and production teams to meet project specifications and deadlines.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum [X] years of CNC machining experience.
• Proficient in GibbsCAM programming (2D and 3D toolpaths).
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-axis machining (3, 4, or 5-axis).
• Familiarity with other CAM software is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement background.
