Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Data Center Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our mission-critical data center. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing data center infrastructure, with specific experience in Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) deployment and support. This role requires a strategic leader who can ensure uptime, drive operational excellence, and maintain industry compliance across all systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of data center operations, including infrastructure management, capacity planning, asset tracking, and vendor coordination.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure 24/7 availability, performance, and security of data center facilities.
- Manage the installation, maintenance, and performance of DAS infrastructure across the facility.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards, including TIA, BICSI, and ANSI/TIA-942.
- Develop and implement best practices for structured cabling (fiber and copper), cooling, power, and physical security.
- Coordinate planned maintenance, incident response, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships to support infrastructure upgrades and new builds.
- Collaborate with IT, network engineering, and security teams to support operational and strategic goals.
- Generate regular reports on data center health, incident tracking, and performance metrics for executive leadership.
- 5 years of experience in data center operations, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
- Hands-on experience with DAS implementation and support.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure systems: power (UPS/generators), HVAC, cabling, and fire suppression.
- Familiarity with fiber optic and copper (Cat 6/Cat 6a) cabling standards.
- Proven experience managing teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in high-availability environments.
- Certifications such as BICSI RCDD, CDCP/CDCE, FOA, or equivalent.
- Experience managing multiple sites or large-scale data centers.
- Working knowledge of DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) platforms.
- Background in networking, telecommunications, or RF systems a plus.
