As a Commercial Door Installer/Framer, you will be responsible for the installation, framing, and repair of commercial doors and hardware. Your ability to work efficiently, safely, and with attention to detail is crucial to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Install Commercial Doors: Properly install, adjust, and secure commercial doors, frames, hardware, and related accessories.
- Frame Installations: Frame door openings and rough openings for doors according to architectural specifications.
- Measure & Cut: Accurately measure and cut materials such as wood, steel, and aluminum for door framing and installation.
- Handle Hardware: Install and adjust locks, hinges, closers, and other door hardware.
- Project Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed installations for quality and ensure all work meets company standards.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions or concerns in a professional manner.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in commercial door installation or framing (or a related field).
- Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings, using hand and power tools, and performing door hardware installations.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and craftsmanship, ensuring high-quality installations.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Certifications: Door installation or framing certifications (e.g., ANSI, ADOA) are a plus.
