Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on welder units and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair small diesel engines powering welding machines and support tools.
- Conduct routine service checks and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Weld and fabricate as necessary to maintain or improve equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of service, parts used, and repairs completed.
- Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and industry standards.
- Coordinate with field supervisors and project managers for equipment readiness.
- Travel to various job sites as needed.
- Proven experience as a Welder Repair Technician or equivalent role.
- Strong working knowledge of small diesel engine systems.
- Proficiency with welding techniques and equipment diagnostics.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Must be able to work independently in field environments.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Work in outdoor environments and potentially adverse weather conditions.
- Stand, crouch, or kneel for extended periods.
