Ables Landscapes, an award-winning landscape company in Charleston, SC, is seeking a motivated, talented, and experienced individual to manage our Turf and Plant Health Care program. Based in Hollywood, SC, Ables Landscapes has been creating beautiful outdoor living spaces of high-end residential homes in the Lowcountry for over 45 years by providing high-end Design, Build, and Maintenance services. Here's what you’d do:
- Apply fertilizer, herbicide, insecticide, and fungicide to commercial and residential turf, shrubs, trees and annuals/perennials to keep landscapes disease and weed-free.
- Diagnose shrubs and trees for disease, insects, and other health issues through routine assessments and determine treatment needs.
- Apply fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides and fungicides accurately and safely on lawns and landscapes, shrubs and trees according to established guidelines.
- Maintain vehicle and equipment through cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of treatments applied, including dates, products used, and areas treated in compliance with state safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and offering recommendations for lawn care.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored properly after use.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner while adhering to safety protocols.

- Passion for monitoring, evaluating, and cultivating healthy plants and landscapes.
- Ability to identify and recognize local shrubs and grass pathology and entomology by utilizing soil analysis procedures.
- Ensuring that all company policies regarding safety, storage, and handling of all herbicides, fungicide, and pesticide spray products are followed.
- Ability to work independently as well as a collaborator in a fast-paced team environment.
- Use company issued technology to record completed daily tasks, communicate with management, document issues and use any tools or other necessary resources.
You may be a great fit if you…
- Have at least 3 years of experience as a plant health care professional.
- Have a SC Pesticide License
- Have a valid Driver’s License
- Have excellent communication skills and customer service with the ability to engage effectively with clients.
- Are proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Are eager to represent Ables Landscapes in a professional manner at all times.
