The Aviation Night Lead Supervisor will assume ownership for all contracted services for the client’s Crew Van Operation at night. He/She will be expected to deliver an exceptional customer service experience to the client’s pilot group and overall flight operations. This position will be responsible to lead people, processes and programs to drive operational excellence in a sometimes complex and fast paced environment. This position will have enormous responsibility for the safety, service and security of the client’s personnel. The Lead Supervisor may be required to work outside of normal business hours occasionally and must remain flexible to meet operational demands. We are looking for someone who adapts quickly to change, communicates well, problem solve and provide win-win solutions for both the client and ABM. The position requires working with a unionized work group and following ABM policy and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities
This position has oversight of the 1DA-night Crew Van Operation. The position reports to the Account Manager who has oversight of the client’s contract and ABM’s performance.
Normal working schedule is Monday-Friday night; however, the client’s operation is a 7 by 24 business, therefore, working on the weekend and odd schedules will be required occasionally to monitor the operation.
The position is responsible for approximately 32 nighttime ABM employees who provide services to the client’s operation.
The Lead Supervisor also gives direction and manages the front-line operational supervisors who support and implement the services provided to the client.
This position is responsible for developing, training, coaching, leading, disciplining and building a solid team, both drivers and supervisors.
The position is responsible for developing a strong business relationship with the client that builds trust and respect while branding ABM as a quality service provider. The position will work closely with several liaisons of the client.
The position will be responsible for developing nightly operating plans while working closely with his/her operational supervisors. The position will delegate and direct the work of each nighttime supervisor to help meet the client’s expectations.
This position will be required to problem solve, investigate and resolve issues within the function’s authority. This includes client concerns, customer complaints, accident investigation, employee disputes and nightly operational concerns.
Job responsibilities include working with various client computer systems to efficiently coordinate the operation: Crew Van Visibility (CVV), Mosaic Situational Viewer (MSV), Flight Crew Records Database, Flight OPS Jumpseats, Airhub, IGate Training, Ramp Control Center Tailsheet Generator and Netline.
The position will require a good understanding of each job within the operation.
This position will communicate with ABM HR and Payroll to ensure proper On-Boarding.
The position requires frequent physical moving around within the operation to observe, participate, communicate and coordinate quality services for the client.
The position will require putting together reports, PowerPoint presentations, email communication, job postings and many other documents to present to the client and the ABM General Manager.
The position will also be required to present at meetings requested by the client.
This position will require close monitoring, enforcement and accountability to the ABM Crew Van Operation and Teamsters Local 89 Collective Bargaining Agreement. This includes knowledge of the contract and grievance processing while working closely with the ABM General Manager.
This position should have the same working knowledge of the operational supervisors so that the position can cover schedules when needed.
The position will work with other vendors and client departments (Security, Catering, Internal ABM Support, Ramp Control Center, Systems Ops, Chief Pilot’s Office, etc,) as needed on client property.
The position will have a huge impact on the Safety, Service and Security of the client’s operation, therefore, having responsibility over the actions of the people reporting to him/her.
Plans, organizes, and communicates daily/nightly operational priorities and client requests.
Effectively leads and provides direct supervision to the onsite night ABM Team.
Sets employee expectations, provides feedback, and routinely inspects work and facilities.
Manages supplies, vehicle fleet, radios, IPads, equipment and other resources to ensure efficient operations.
Collaborates and coordinates his/her management team to ensure executions of services.
Uses data, firsthand observations, supervisor feedback to seek out operational improvements.
Gathers and maintains required administrative tasks for daily/nightly, weekly or monthly reporting.
Cultivates a strong safety culture to provide a safe work environment.
Researches, evaluates, takes corrective action for Event Reports, Accidents, Delays, Customer Complaints and any other required follow up with the client.
Essential Functions:

*Must participate in the operation to support their people and solve operational concerns through audits, one-on-one meetings, group meetings and client follow-up discussions.

*Able to organize, coordinate, direct and communicate effectively with a large group of people.
*Must be able to maintain composer during stressful situations while cultivating a service environment for the client. This includes correcting driver or supervisor performance.
