Job Summary Details:
The Carpenter/Painter performs necessary carpentry and painting duties to maintain facilities in good repair and appearance.
Compensation: $16 Hourly

Basic Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
• No experience required and on the job training provided
Preferred Qualifications:
• One (1) year of similar work experience preferred
Responsibilities:
• Perform basic carpentry duties and assist lead carpenter.
• Responsible for maintaining clean work areas prior to, during and after projects.
• Select materials necessary for the daily work assignment.
• Paint walls, woodwork, and fixtures.
• Identify surface peculiarities and determine the types of paint required for different applications.
• Prepare surface for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holes.
• Mix colors, oils, white lead and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency.
• Use spray gun and/or brush to apply paint.
A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
