Key Responsibilities:- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and refrigeration units.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and effectively.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions in HVAC systems and replace or repair defective components.
- Test system performance using specialized tools and equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Inspect HVAC systems and their components to identify potential issues and recommend preventive solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance tips, and repair recommendations to clients.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- High school diploma or GED.
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I, II, III, or Universal).
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with energy-efficient and smart HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS).
- Proficiency in computer-based diagnostics and maintenance management software.
