We are seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and machinery, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, extending the lifespan of equipment, and contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the facility.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Pay: $18.00-$22.00/hr DOE

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position.   A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. 

401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery according to manufacturer guidelines and company procedures.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose potential issues with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are in good working order by following preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Lubricate, clean, and replace parts as necessary to maintain smooth operation of machinery.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including service dates, tasks performed, and equipment condition.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address urgent repairs and breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Assist in developing and updating preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and report any hazards or concerns to the maintenance supervisor.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance practices to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Preventative Maintenance Technician or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment based on schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other relevant maintenance tools.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance is a plus.
  • 2 years of experience in preventative maintenance, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Certification in mechanical, electrical, or related technical fields (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including hot, cold, or noisy areas
