Specific Duties / Essential Job Functions
- The supervisor is responsible for an assigned area or a building.
- Responsible for the direct oversight of front-line employees.
- Responsible for ensuring that productivity levels and customer service requirements are being met and that front-line employees are complying with all safety, quality, and compliance standards established by the Company and by our Clients
- Responsible for directing and cleaning designated areas within appropriate time-frames.
Demonstrate exceptional customer service skill - Manage employee lunches and breaks.
- Maintain communication with Managers to maintain optimum staffing levels, meet client expectations, and coordinate facility operations.
- In close coordination with Managers), effectively coach, counsel and discipline employees
- Set positive, professional example for workforce.
Conduct safety and quality audits. - Assign tasks to front line team members based on job requirements or special assignments.
Inspect all completed work for conformance to ABM and customer standards. - Train new workers and oversee on-going training of existing employees.
Minimum Requirements
- One year of supervisory experience
- One year of janitorial experience
- Training in the cleaning industry or building management field is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members verbally and in writing Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and to accomplish objectives
- Ability to handle and resolve problems
- May be required to work overnight shifts and weekends
