The following is for a floor tech at the University Of Fairbanks.
The Floor Technician utility worker performs assigned floor care functions and other utility work based on stablished standards and procedures; performs environmental services duties as needed, performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing and other contractual duties according to regulations, while safeguarding and protecting all electrical outlets, desks, chairs, walls, windows, all types of equipment, etc.; making sure not to disconnect customer’s or ABM’s equipment that is not used to perform their work.
This will require the right candidate to have:
- A high level of customer service experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Reliable – a record of being on time.
In this fast-paced environment -You need to be able to:
- Perform all necessary job duties – including polishing floors, waxing, stripping, buffing, spray buffing and mopping, sweeping and vacuuming.
- Be able to stand, bend and lift to 50 pounds on an 8-hour shift.
The right candidate will have:
- At least 1 year of experience as a floor tech.
- Commitment to working all scheduled shifts.
- History of excellent customer service
