What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker position at ABM?
Duties :
- Food preparation for both patient dining & retail service : Safely and efficiently prepare hot & cold food while following regulatory standards & following all food safety requirements.
- Must have or be willing to obtain food handles card for Riverside County. Sersafe certification preferred.
- Understand & populate all regulatory logs : Tracking food temperatures & time temperature control requirements. Monitor equipment including, but not limited to refrigerators, stove, ovens, etc.
- Food safety standards : Follow standards to ensure food is safely prepared. Ensure food cool down procedures are followed. Understand food safety regarding cross contamination.
- Recipes : Be able to read & execute standardized recipes. Must be able to read & speak English
- Stocking and Inventory Control : Regularly check and restock food and beverage supplies in storage areas and kitchenettes, maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs.
- Safety & sanitation : Understand safe cleaning & sanitation requirements for food preparation & station sanitation.
- Dishwashing : Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Cleaning and Sanitization : Assist in maintaining cleanliness throughout the department.
