Responsibilities include performing examinations, treating chronic and urgent episodic illnesses, minor injuries, accidents, and other injuries or illnesses. You'll also be responsible for ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic testing as needed, collaborating with caregivers and other healthcare professionals in providing interdisciplinary care, and ensuring patient medical records are kept up to date.
To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), active state Nurse Practitioners license, current Nurse Practitioner National Board Certification, and active state DEA licensure. Strong interpersonal communication skills – verbal and written, excellent time management skills with accountability for practitioner's daily workflow, and proficiency in medical instruments and equipment are essential.
