Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated bi-lingual Case Manager to join our Immigration department. The ideal candidate is ready to gain knowledge and understanding of Immigration adjustments of status and EOIR Court Matters, forms of relief, and filing procedures. Requires some previous experience with immigration/ USCIS processes. Applicants should know or be passionate about learning various forms of relief, including, Asylum; 42A/B; Prosecutorial Discretion and Adjustment of Status by Judge. This position involves legal research, conducting client interviews, e-filing documents of EOIR portal, and assisting in overall immigration court preparation and other immigration visas and adjustment of status. The ideal candidate is punctual, compassionate, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Prepare case-specific immigration applications
- Collect and organize documents, including biographical info
- Ensure that case-related documents are well organized and available for review
- Conduct legal research and investigation
- Provide general administrative support
- Communicate with clients and witnesses
- Prepare the attorney for court sessions and record important information
- Maintain and update documentation
- Assist with case preparation
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/ Spanish fluent)
- Previous experience with Immigration Court/ USCIS
- Knowledge of USCIS forms and applications
- Certification or Associates Degree is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with document management experience
- Excellent research skills
- Comfortable Microsoft Office and case management software
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Compensation: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
