Job Summary:
The Professional Surveyor will have extensive experience resolving property boundary surveys and ALTA/NSPS Surveys; shall be knowledgeable in all aspects of legal principles of property boundary surveys and have the ability to make property boundary decisions based upon said knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Perform survey assignments that require a solid grasp of basic surveying principles and the exercise of professional judgement.
- Prepare and certify survey maps, reports, legal descriptions, and plats.
- Interpret and verify survey results for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and developers to provide necessary survey data.
- Research historical maps, deeds, and previous surveys to establish property boundaries.
- Ensure all surveying activities comply with state and federal guidelines.
- Assist and mentor survey office personnel in the performance of their duties.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying, or another relevant field preferred but not required
- Indiana Professional Surveyor’s license required
- 8 years of experience in land surveying.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and Topcon Survey equipment.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal surveying regulations.
- Ability to visit project sites if needed
