Right now, we are seeking someone to serve as our Day Porter for multiple properties that we manage.
The Day Porter position requires a "people person" who is highly meticulous, someone with excellent organizational skills that completes tasks in a timely manner.
The perfect candidate should be honest, flexible, and able to work well with a variety of personality types. Someone that is a team player that has a "Can Do" attitude. Someone that is quick on their feet and willing to roll with changes as they come.
Job Overview:
The day-to-day operations of a Day Porter for multiple properties including but not limited to daily general maintenance. Communicating with property managers, vendors, tenants, and team to ensure that property goals are be met or exceeded.
Key responsibilities:
- Cleaning common areas: Sweeping floors, mopping, vacuuming, dusting furniture, wiping down surfaces in lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
- Exterior maintenance: Removing trash from sidewalks, sweeping parking lots, clearing debris from entrances, tending to landscaping features.
- Minor repairs: Changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, addressing minor maintenance issues as they appear.
- Trash removal: emptying trash cans throughout the building and outdoor areas, clean-up in and around trash enclosures and dumpster
- Addressing Trespassing issue while at properties and notify appropriate local authorities.
- Monitoring building appearance: Identifying and addressing issues like spills, damage property, or unkempt areas.
- Customer Service: Responding to guest requests and providing basic information about the facility.
- Reporting maintenance needs: Communicating larger maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Knowledge & Skills Needed
- Attention to detail, professional communication written and spoken
- Ability to use a cell phone or tablet for work order system adding photos, notes and tracking hours
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in priorities
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Previous Day Porter and Maintenance property management experience preferred
Health benefits are available after 30 days of employment for an employee with the option of paying for dependents. 401K plan benefit is available after 1 year of employment with Aborn Powers. This job offers a competitive salary range and mile reimbursement according to California law.
