Abound Credit Union is now hiring friendly, enthusiastic, and just overall awesome personalities to manager the mortgage origination process and sales team across all credit union production channels and markets.
What Youll Do:
- External Networking and Sales This position will work to expand the Credit Unions relationships with quality referral sources such as realtors, builders, financial planners, etc. and should be visible at networking and other community events in the markets that we serve.
- Product Development Works closely with the Director of Mortgage Lending and Chief Lending Officer to understand the local/regional competitive landscape and develop conventional or portfolio 1st Mortgage and Home Equity products to best serve the credit union and its members.
- Secondary Market - Understands secondary mortgage market processes, guidelines, and pricing structures and works with senior management to ensure the proper balance between profitability and maintaining competitive product options and pricing for members. Ensures that mortgage sales team has strong working knowledge and branch lenders have basic working knowledge in this area.
- Coaching / Training - Oversees all Credit Union mortgage sales functions and is actively engaged with coaching/training of Internal/External Mortgage Loan Officers and Branch Lenders (MSR) in industry best practices for conventional conforming, portfolio and government lending. Ensures all mortgage sales staff are properly trained and encourages professional development and continuing education around mortgage lending. Responsible for employee development, coaching and training of a growing real estate team.

What We Need:
- Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Must successfully complete and pass the eligibility requirements for registration under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act)
- Superior sales skills and experience
- Extensive and detailed knowledge of real estate mortgage lending laws, regulations, policies and procedures
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and initiative with a willingness to support others within the Credit Union.
