As a valued member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our clients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, ambulation, and repositioning. You will also help ensure proper nutrition and hydration while providing therapeutic baths, ice packs, and dressing changes as needed. Monitoring and recording vital health information, such as food intake and urinary or fecal output, will be essential, along with effectively communicating observations.
This role requires experience using a Hoyer lift and working with individuals who have dementia . Many of our clients require specialized care, and we need caregivers who are patient, attentive, and confident in assisting with mobility and memory-related conditions. Beyond physical support, your companionship and emotional encouragement will help create a safe, nurturing environment where clients feel comfortable and valued.
To be successful in this role, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, CNA certification (if applicable), current CPR certification, and basic computer skills . Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A calm and professional demeanor is necessary, especially in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
We appreciate and reward the dedication of our caregivers with competitive pay and benefits. CNAs earn between $13-14 per hour for private clients and $16-19 per hour for facility work, while non-certified caregivers earn $12-13 per hour for private clients. Employees working 35 hours per week qualify for health insurance after 90 days. Weekly pay is offered to provide financial stability.
