Overview
The Resident Care Associate plays a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to residents in a senior living environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and have a passion for supporting their daily needs. The Resident Care Associate will work closely with residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in a nurturing environment.

Duties

  • Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
  • Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to the nursing staff.
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and assist residents during meal times.
  • Provide direct support to residents with mobility challenges and facilitate participation in group activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Implement behavior management techniques as necessary to support residents with specific needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, promoting social interaction and engagement within the community.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in senior care, home care, or long-term care settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and basic health assessments is desirable.
  • Experience working in group homes or retirement homes is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
  • A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks and maintain a tidy environment for residents.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.59 - $12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
