Over the years, it has evolved into a premier championship venue, hosting two major golf tournaments : the 1921 PGA Championship and the 1923 U.S. Open, famously won by Bobby Jones. The club boasts an elegant Georgian-style clubhouse, redesigned and expanded multiple times, and a golf course shaped by legendary designers like Herbert Strong.
Who we are looking for / Requirements :
Candidates who are the lead clubhouse laborer or assistant facilities maintenance manager at their current club and are ready to take the next step in their career are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented with great observational skills
- The ability to know when to delegate and when to be hands-on
- Trustworthy with uncompromising integrity
- Mechanically inclined with all-around knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration.
- Capable of being hands-on with repairs and helping the clubhouse staff with projects as needed.
- Organizational abilities to coordinate club projects and renovations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-discipline projects and utilize technical support staff.
- Appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Experience supervising a team responsible for housekeeping or janitorial services.
- Someone who prides themselves on being a “jack of all trades.”
- Experience with locating and managing competent, licensed contractors & monitoring their work for effectiveness and to ensure they are working safely on club property.
- Experience with seasonal operations including winterization best practices for facilities not in use for the offseason.
- Experience with fire alarm monitoring and fire suppression systems.
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and lift systems.
