Job Overview
The Behavioral Consultant, in collaboration with the family and other members of the treatment team, designs and directs the implementation of a resiliency plan which is individualized to each child's and family's needs
Qualifications
Master's Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline such as Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing, Marriage and Family therapy, Criminal Justice, Special Education, or Applied Behavior Analysis.
- 2 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
- 2 years post master’s experience with maladaptive responding in school and home environments.
- Functional understanding of ABA principles.
- Experience teaching functional communication and social skills and training staff in the principles of ABA.
Behavioral Specialist License Preferred
Professional Liability Insurance
Clearances: PA Mandated Reporter, PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal Background, FBI Fingerprint, CPR, Covid Vaccination record, and PPD
Responsibilities
What you will do:
- Conduct initial and follow-up behavior assessments with patients.
- Provide consultation and training to parents, school personnel and BHT.
- Generate initial behavior assessment reports and treatment plans in compliance with insurance and organization standards.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and develop and implement behavior intervention plans.
- Participate in psychological evaluations.
- Provide contracted school consultation and program development.
- Prepare 6-month concurrent treatment plans in compliance with insurance standards (includes comprehensive data analysis, report writing, program updates, administration).
- Provide field supervision of BHT in accordance with state and organization standards onsite, in homes, and in schools.
- Conduct community training programs.
- Complete ongoing training requirements as required; 16 hours of related training each year.
- Submit annual authorization reports, clinical updates and crisis plans.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
