AboveAir Technologies, based in Frederick, Maryland, has been a leading provider of innovative indoor HVAC product solutions for commercial and industrial applications since 2003. With a state-of-the-art 90,000 sqft. manufacturing facility, AboveAir designs and deploys high-quality HVAC equipment tested and listed by Intertek (ETL), Inc. The company's commercial systems have been chosen by prominent clients across various industries.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods to meet or exceed quality standard
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow for maximum efficiency
- Estimate labor hours for each operation, conducting time studies when required to provide information for management decisions
- Collaborate with various departments and team members
- Apply Configuration Management (CM) principles to engineering documentation for manufacturing’s product release
- Identify cost reduction solutions and clearly communicate to Manufacturing and Engineering Managers
- Improve product design by using a variety of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) techniques
- Responsible for entering labor hours for each operation and creating routings for all make components for entry in the MRP system
- Work together with the design engineer team and manufacturing operations to develop more effective processes for material management, assembly, and product shipping.
- Maintain employee safety and morale by creating a safe and efficient working environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in related engineering field
- Experience in manufacturing, welding fabrication, machining etc. a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great interpersonal communication skills
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Experience with manufacturing design and methodologies a plus
- Willing and able to work with tools used in an industrial environment
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawings
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Basic project management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
