Position Overview: 1st Shift

Wage Range: $85k-$125k depending on experience.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong electrical controls background who excels in managing complex projects and thrives in a team-oriented environment. Position Summary: This role ensures the functionality, quality, and on-time delivery of orders. Our Project Managers (PMs) oversee orders from the moment they are processed by Sales until shipment. The Controls Project Manager (CPM) partners with PMs to manage projects with Electrical Controls scope, driving these projects from an electrical perspective. The CPM serves as the primary customer contact for electrical scope and coordinates with internal departments to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review Purchase Orders, applications, and requirements during the handoff from Sales to understand the project scope before the internal Kickoff Meeting.
  
• Participate in internal Kickoff Meetings to communicate the Electrical project scope to department heads.
  
• Collaborate with PMs to set a Production Schedule for the Electrical scope that aligns with the Mechanical scope.
  
• Serve as the central point of contact for customers, engineering firms, and internal teams regarding the Electrical scope of projects.
  
• Review and approve drawings and schematics before customer submission and assist with obtaining project approval as scheduled.
  
• Coordinate Electrical and Mechanical design and build processes by working closely with PMs, Senior Project Engineers, Department Managers, Sales, and Shop Leads.
  
• Work with Controls Engineers and Designers to keep projects on schedule.
  
• Assist Controls Engineers in sourcing specialty component parts or technical information from vendors.
  
• Monitor project progress and inspect equipment before the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).
  
• Document equipment build and functionality with photos and videos for internal use, service references, and new projects.
  
• Participate in pre-sales applications as needed.
  

Basic Requirements:

• Strong Industrial Electrical Controls background, particularly with AB-Rockwell products.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of "translating" between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  
• Ability to read and interpret layouts, schematics, and other technical drawings.
  
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to material handling.
  
• Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, ERP systems).
  
• Ability to balance workload to meet changing deadlines and align organizational and customer needs.
  
• Proven ability to drive projects, maintaining schedules, quality, scope, and cost control.
  
• Capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
  
• Technical degree required.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in Electrical Controls Engineering.
  
• 5 years of experience in conveyor or custom equipment manufacturing.
  
• Experience with AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD Electrical.
  
• Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D (Inventor) or SolidWorks.
  
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
