ABR Employment is hiring a Facilities Manager for our client in Fitchburg, WI.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for allplant, facilities, and grounds related projects. Scope includes identification, investigation, planning, justification, and management of plant / facilities projects (i.e. capital, upgrades, or corrective), compliance with regulations (i.e. OSHA, GMP, customers, etc.), and emergency response activity; responsible for inspections and testing of plant and facilities systems; responsible for spare parts inventory and preventive maintenance planning for all facility related equipment; overseeing the daily activities of the facilities & grounds.

Location : Fitchburg, WI

Shift : 1st Shift (8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm) This is flexible.

Pay : $95,000 - $100,000k

Essential Accountabilities

  • Implements plant / facilities related cost reduction initiatives
  • Manages and executes assigned projects in accordance per Placons project management policies and procedures
  • Administers building / grounds service contractor agreements and oversees their work activity
  • Oversees relationship with local utility providers
  • Estimates all facilities costs for engineering projects
  • Identifies current and future plant / facilities requirements through trade publications, government resources, contractors, business plans, and consultation with company personnel
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual facilities budget; scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Provides heat, steam, electric power, gas and air by directing installation of, modification to, and replacement of utility systems as required
  • Designs, implements and modifies preventive facilities maintenance programs to provide support of operational requirements
  • Resolves plant / facilities related problems by conferring with management, equipment engineering, quality control personnel, and / or contractors
  • Protects employees and visitors by maintaining a safe & clean plant / facility environment
  • Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations related to plant / facilities issues
  • Completes plant / facilities work by scheduling and assigning contractors; following up on work results
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Utilize existing PM and predictive maintenance programs to plan all scheduled facilities maintenance tasks

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree In Industrial Maintenance or related field and at least 3 years of maintenance or facilities project management experience. Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.

At least 6 years of equipment and facilities maintenance experience and 2 yrs in a leadership role.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of mechanical technologies, electrical / electronic technologies as they relate to plant & facilities equipment applications
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Fundamental knowledge of all construction disciplines and the ability to supervise contractors or technical services
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and execution practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of OSHA / ANSI standards
  • Strong leadership skills, which include ability to assess contractor performance, administer company policies and address corrective actions
  • Demonstrated understanding of business concepts including project costing, forecasting and budgeting
  • Familiarity with Quality Systems, ISO requirements and project management tools and techniques
  • Interact well with a variety of people
  • Motivated self-starter

    Manufacturing : All manufacturing and production areas

    Outside : Property grounds

    Equipment / Tools Used :

    Personal computer, tools for facilities repair, MS Office, MS Project, INFOR, ROI & Andover software.

    Physical Requirements :

    Normal Office

    Light work (lift 10 lbs) : occasionally parts & equipment

    Medium Work (lift 11-30 lbs.) : occasionally parts & equipment

    Heavy Work (lift 31-50 lbs.) : occasionally parts & equipment
