Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000
Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30/4:00 p.m. (flexible)
Summer Hours: Monday–Thursday (regular hours), Fridays 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

This role involves managing inventory, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and providing coaching and direction for staff. The Production Manager works closely with the customer service team to resolve inquiries and issues and ensures the smooth operation of the production floor.

The Production Manager works closely with the customer service team to resolve inquiries and issues and ensures the smooth operation of the production floor.
Position Duties
- Manage Production (50%): Oversee the manufacturing process, including production, storage, and delivery. Coordinate with Supervisors and Production teams to ensure the timely completion of orders with high quality.
- Quality, Safety, and Organizational Standards (20%): Maintain strict quality control and safety standards throughout the production process and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Inventory Control (20%): Manage inventory levels, order materials as needed, and oversee the physical storage of items. Maintain accurate records for inventory and costs.
- Staff Management (5%): Assist with hiring, training, and developing Production staff. Provide direction and coaching to the team.
- Customer Service (5%): Work with Customer Service and Sales teams to resolve customer inquiries, requests, or issues in a timely manner.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial or business administration, or related field.
- Experience: Three years of manufacturing or fulfillment supervision experience. Experience in warehousing, inventory control, purchasing, and scheduling is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft 365. Experience with CAD Software, CAM Software, and database management is a plus.
Physical/Mental Requirements
- Work in a shop environment with frequent loud noises and exposure to safety hazards requiring appropriate safety equipment.
- Ability to move or handle loads of up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet throughout the production floor.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Develop and maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment.
- Manage staff and distribute work assignments to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Track labor and material costs, ensuring accurate reporting and comparison to estimates.
- Ensure timely completion of all orders and maintain production schedules.
- Coordinate maintenance of tools and equipment, addressing any issues as they arise.
- Contribute to the training and development of new and existing production staff.
