Responsibilities
- Develop and implement art curriculum that aligns with educational standards and fosters creativity.
- Educate students on various art techniques, materials, and styles while encouraging self-expression.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with special education requirements.
- Organize art-related activities for camps or after-school programs that promote teamwork and collaboration.
- Provide constructive feedback on student artwork to encourage growth and improvement.
- Maintain an organized classroom environment that showcases student work and promotes artistic exploration.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Experience
- A degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is essential; experience in daycare or early childhood education is a plus.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with special education practices to support diverse learners effectively.
- Previous experience leading art camps or workshops is advantageous.
