Job Summary:

Seeking energetic individual to become valued, long term asset. Position will entail removing excess metal, sharp edges and burrs from critical aerospace and defense items.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None
  
  

Duties/Responsibilities

• Uses files to remove burrs and excess metal from machined parts.
• Uses revolving abrasive wheels, belts, brushes, bead blast machines and tumblers to remove burrs. and excess metal from machined parts.
• Uses orbital sanders to buff and polish machined parts.
• Inspects own work to insure high quality results.
• Follow all safety and hazard procedures and posters.
• Read and follow work orders and engineering drawings.
• Keep an accurate count of parts finished per work order.
• Record required information on log sheets and route parts to the next department.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Must be familiar with quality standards (ISO9001/AS9100).
• Must be able to read, understand and follow department and company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to communicate positively and effectively with other employees.
  
  

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience preferred but not necessary as company is willing to train
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and sitting and performing repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must be able to work in moderate to high dusty work area.

Salary: $14.50 - $17.00 per hour
