Supervisory Responsibilities
- Leading and Directing the Laser Marking Team by training, coaching, and assigning tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitoring Performance Metrics by assessing team members' time and quantity metrics, recording production findings, and reporting to HR for evaluations.
- Delegating Work Assignments to team members and lasers best suited for each order.
- Ensuring Job Accuracy and Quality by checking completed work, confirming paperwork, and maintaining logs.
- Collaborating with Other Departments such as the Shop Foreman, project managers, and supervisors to coordinate workflow and production goals.
- Organizing Team Meetings to discuss challenges, successes, and improvements.
- Maintaining Compliance and Safety by overseeing setup, run times, and department logs while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Ability to train, coach, and direct the Laser Marking Team while effectively delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of markings, reviewing paperwork, and maintaining high-quality standards for all jobs.
- Maintain open communication with the Shop Foreman, project managers, and other supervisors to coordinate workflow and production priorities.
- Assess incoming jobs, prioritizing tasks based on shop needs, and resolving challenges efficiently to meet production goals.
- Understanding laser marking capabilities, monitoring setup and run times, and implementing process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Directly responsible for ensuring smooth operations within the Laser Department to meet company objectives.
- Supervising and leading the Laser Marking Team by training, coaching, delegating tasks, and monitoring performance to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensuring quality control and accuracy by performing daily balance checks, reviewing completed jobs for accuracy, and maintaining department logs.
- Managing documentation and reporting by completing necessary paperwork, tracking job details, and reporting critical information such as serial numbers and compliance data.
- Coordinating with other departments by communicating with the Shop Foreman, project managers, and supervisors to obtain necessary templates, artwork, and production details.
- Monitoring production metrics through tracking setup and run times, assessing team members' performance, and maintaining records for HR evaluations.
- Conducting team meetings and process improvement by addressing challenges, sharing successes, and ensuring continuous department optimization.
- Ensuring compliance and safety by monitoring job completion, maintaining safety-sensitive procedures, and instructing the team on necessary corrections.
- Assist members of the production, R&D, and Management teams with questions on laser abilities and department flow.

- Able to multi-task and run multiple machines at the same time.
- Able to operate inspection equipment and tools, including calipers, depth gauges, gauge blocks, scales, eye loops, wrenches, screwdrivers, knives, and levels.
- Understands and follows safety and environmental procedures.
- Familiar with quality standards (ISO9001/AS9100).
- Communicate positively and effectively with other employees.
- Familiar with computers, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office products.
- Possesses basic math skills
- Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of tolerating repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingers to operate machinery or tools.
- Comfortable working in noisy environments.
- Able to work in areas with poor ventilation at times.
- Occasionally required to ascend or descend ladders and stairs.
- Able to maneuver elevating carts and pallet jacks.
- Requires prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
