Position Description:
The Silkscreen Supervisor oversees the silkscreen printing operations within the manufacturing facility. This position involves supervising staff, managing production schedules, and ensuring the quality of printed materials meets the required standards. This includes marking identifying numbers and graphics on products using epoxy inks by airbrushing or silk-screening methods.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the silkscreen team, ensuring efficient staffing and training. Oversee the daily activities and performance, providing guidance and feedback.
- Train employees on the methods used in the processes for silk screening.
- Monitor employees? work to ensure accurate processing of jobs
- Track employees time on processing jobs and ensure accurate logging of paperwork
- Approve employee time cards and requests for time off
- Having good communication and leadership skills is essential to working effectively with employees.
- Hold performance reviews annually on the anniversary/hire date for employees.
Competencies
- Manage the production process from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met and products meet quality standards. Adjust schedules and workflows as necessary to meet production targets.
- Understand and follow directions on blueprints.
- Able to use fixtures to perform set-ups for designing screening parts
- One should possess basic math skills to be able to measure tapes, calipers, and mix chemicals.
Essential Functions
- Manage inventory of supplies and materials needed for production. Ensure materials are stocked and reordered as necessary.
- Set up jobs, review customer blueprints and travelers for accuracy and consistency, and make necessary changes and updates.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure all outputs meet the required specifications. Troubleshoot issues in the printing process and make adjustments to ensure high-quality results.
- Train employees to use airbrush guns and screens. Make sure the cleaning of the equipment used is being performed accurately.
- Supervise employees to ensure accurate processes and tracking are performed and products are moved to the correct department.
- Screen printing experience is with knowledge of processing screens and designing artwork using Corral software.
- Continually seek ways to improve the silkscreen process, including speed, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Implement new techniques and technologies as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must be familiar with navigating computers and office products
- Screen printing experience of metallic or 3-dimensional parts is preferred.
- Must be familiar with quality standards (ISO9001/AS9100).

- Must have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. safely.
- Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
