Civil / Commercial Litigation Attorney

We are a vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm looking to increase our talented ranks of litigators by adding a Civil and Commercial Litigation Attorney with 5-7 years of experience to join our expanding Litigation department.
Successful Candidate
We seek a self-starter with a strong work ethic, leadership, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate must have courtroom experience, experience in conducting witness examinations either by deposition or at a hearing, trial preparation experience, extensive experience with all aspects of discovery, large document organization and management experience, and strong writing skills.
Whether the candidate has had civil or criminal experience, they should have experience with taking testimony either by deposition or at a hearing, interviewing witnesses, experts, large document review and organization, brief writing, and trial preparation. Although not required, the ideal candidate will already have a small book of business that they seek to foster and grow while developing new skill sets.
What You Will Need to Have :
- Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in New York
- 5-7 years of experience in litigation
- Strong legal writing skills
- Experience in conducting witness examinations either by deposition or at a hearing
- Proficiency with voluminous electronic discovery
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and prioritize work tasks efficiently and effectively
- Collaborative with a can-do attitude balanced with the ability to gracefully communicate with clients
- Must have experience with case management and compliance with statute of limitations and court deadlines
- Comfortable working with all levels of professionals, including senior management and all colleagues in other departments in a fast-paced environment
Competitive salary commensurate with experience
