We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker | Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Abraxas South Mountain. Located near Waynesboro and Chambersburg in the heart of the Michaux Forest.
As a Social Worker | Mental Health Counselor , you will be responsible for providing clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral issues. You will work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans and facilitate their journey towards improved mental health and emotional well-being. In this Mental Health Counselor | Therapist role, you will help at-risk adolescents BUILD BETTER FUTURES.
Salary : $60,000 annually
Job Type : Full-time
Shift : Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm or 4-day / 10-hour shift workweek option

Social Worker | Mental Health Counselor
Job Responsibilities :
Provides clinical services to assigned clients as per the guidelines of licensing agencies and ensures compliance with policies and procedures as well as with regulatory and licensing agencies.Performs individual and group therapyProvides appropriate documentation which includes : developing treatment plans and monthly reports on client behavior, attitude, achievement, education, and overall progress in the program.Analyzes and interprets client records, behavior, progress, and treatment plans in relationship with treatment services.Participates in Multi-Disciplinary Treatment team meetings (MDT’s) regarding client behavior, diagnosis, and progress as a member of the treatment planning team.Ensures all documentation is completed in a timely manner and meets regulatory compliance.Ensures that goals and objectives from clients’ individualized treatment plans are being addressed; Modifies clients’ individualized treatment plan as needed.Works closely with clinical director, case managers, treatment supervisors, senior treatment supervisors and education department to ensure that all youth involved in work program fulfill restitution, and court costs and fines obligations.Minimum Requirements :
Master’s degree in social work or similar field and preference will be given to those that have at least one (1) year of clinical experience.
At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and FBI).Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.Why Should You Consider Abraxas?
