About The Department
The Credit Research team is a highly collaborative, global team that conducts research across the credit quality spectrum, including Investment Grade and High Yield corporate issuers. Working closely with portfolio managers and equity colleagues, the team provides fundamental insights and recommendations that help shape corporate fixed income investment strategies.
About The Role
As a Credit Research Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining research on fixed-income securities and corporate issuers. Your work will focus on fundamentals, debt structures, technical factors, and overall creditworthiness.
You will be responsible for generating investment ideas, making recommendations, and supporting corporate fixed income strategies across the business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative team environment while developing in-depth knowledge of markets and industry trends.
This position is based in Philadelphia or Boston.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed fundamental research, preparing reports on securities, issuers, industries, and ESG risks.
- Build and maintain financial models with historical and forward-looking projections.
- Formulate independent investment opinions and recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members, equity colleagues, rating agency analysts, and sell-side researchers.
- Develop expertise in specific industrial sectors to serve as a subject matter expert.
- Coordinate portfolio reviews with Portfolio Managers and assist in implementing investment decisions.
- Represent the research team in client meetings, discussing processes, portfolio positioning, and performance.
- Monitor market conditions and industry trends, reacting as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- A strong foundation in finance, economics, or accounting; a Bachelor’s degree is required, with CFA/MBA qualifications preferred.
- 2-4 years investment industry experience as a Credit Analyst
- Proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg, with strong technical and analytical skills.
- A passion for investment management, combined with a high level of integrity and a commitment to ongoing personal development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
