Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an Optical Solutions Sales Engineer to join our team in Santa Paula, CA. This role will involve serving as a technical and sales interface and resource to customers and other departments within the company. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to understand technical specifications and to communicate regarding these with technical and non-technical personnel. They will also have analytical skills to accurately translate customers' needs into products and industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a general point of contact between company and assigned customers and prospects.
- Understand detailed customer applications and identify glass fabrication solutions.
- Generate sales quotations along with supporting technical and costing documentation.
- Provide production with designs and documentation as needed.
- Assist production with analysis and recommend design adjustments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Physics, or one of the Engineering disciplines.
- 2-3 years of experience, preferably in glass or optical field.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
