What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time-Autism ABA Behavior Technician position at ABS Kids Careers?
Job Summary
Immediate positions are available to work with children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. At ABS Kids, our purpose is found in the daily moments of wow when clients learn new skills and reach new goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach kids while playing, following a treatment plan specific to each child's needs.
- Observe, play, and collect data to write progress notes.
- Help kids develop essential life skills such as motor skills, social skills, emotional skills, and more.
- Work with children on goals that help shape challenging behaviors into communication skills.
- Make a positive impact in the life of a child.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children (e.g., camp counselor, daycare, nanny, school setting, ABA) is preferred.
- Lots of energy, playfulness, creativity, and the ability to think on your feet.
- Ability to frequently stand up and move around quickly.
- Comfortable learning data collection software and using Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Desire to learn, work independently, and provide high-quality care to our clients.
