What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Education Specialist position at ABS Kids?
About the Role
As a Behavior Technician, you will be working directly with children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Your primary responsibility will be to teach kids while playing, and following a treatment plan specific to that child. You will also observe, play and collect data so you can write a progress note. Additionally, you will help kids learn essential life skills such as motor skills, social skills, emotional skills and more.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with kids (i.e. Camp counselor, daycare, nanny, school setting, ABA, etc) preferred
- Experience in early childhood education, childcare, paraprofessional work, mental health, psychology, or social work
- Energy, creativity and ability to think on your feet
- Ability to get up and down from floor frequently
