General Description
The primary purpose of this position is to distribute food items to tribal members and ensure items are boxed appropriately and distribute them to recipients.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Bag food items and distribute groceries to clients as needed.
- Make sure that all food items are sorted, stocked and stored in an appropriate manner.
- Clean up, restock and organize food pantry.
- Loading and unloading food deliveries.
- Monitor food product ‘used by dates’, ‘best before dates’ and discarding expired items.
- Is able to work in a team environment as well as independently to organize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be dependable, punctual and display a friendly attitude, willingness to follow instructions and knowledge and observance of safe food handling procedures.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Have the ability to endure isolation and limited social contact;
- Have good physical strength and stamina;
- Be independent, responsible and self-disciplined;
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity.
