Job Overview
Absher's Estimators assist in development of Cost Estimates. They solicit subcontractor pricing or bids and are able to prepare scopes of work for all trade contractors. The position performs routine daily activities and gathers and distributes information. They must be able to meet critical deadlines, accurately obtain quantities for building components and have the ability to work as part of a team.
What You’ll Do
- Aid in developing full-scope estimates based on final construction documents
- Assist in coordinating efforts required for solicitation of proposals and bids
- Provide detailed quantity take-off of specific trades and input information into company’s estimating software.
- Assist in providing detailed unit prices for quantities of work and participate in the review of pricing with Lead / Chief Estimator.
Why You’ll Be Successful
- A Construction Management (CM), Architecture, Civil Engineering (CE) or similar degree, or 5 years related work experience in Commercial General Contracting or Military Construction.
- Either 2 years Estimating or 3 years Project Engineer Experience with a Commercial General Contractor. If transitioning from a Project Engineer role, we would like to see some evidence of interest/experience in Estimating.
- A hard working, competitive spirit and the ability to collaborate with a dynamic team of industry pros.
- A demonstrated commitment to and promotion of a diverse and inclusive work environment and have a commitment to a safe and injury free work environment through your own actions and mentoring others.

All benefits are dependent on start date; pro-rated for mid-year hires
The salary range for this position is $63,000 to $95,000 with the average starting salary in the 40th percentile range; commensurate with experience and training. This ensures we get you properly seated within our organization so that all parties feel good about our future together.
