What You'll Do:
- Systems & Software Administration:
- Design, deploy, and optimize Windows servers, applications, and operating systems.
- Enhance system efficiency and develop strategies for optimization.
- Maintain system connectivity across servers, applications, and shared environments.
- Conduct security audits, backup procedures, and support business continuity.
- Research and recommend software, systems, and hardware upgrades.
- Provide end-user training and technical guidance.
- Interact with vendors and contractors to secure IT-related products and services.
- Network & Infrastructure Management:
- Design, deploy, and maintain LANs, WANs, and network infrastructure.
- Configure and optimize network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
- Conduct security audits, apply patches, and implement best practices.
- Document network topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Research and evaluate new networking technologies.
- Help Desk & IT Support:
- Assist the Help Desk team in resolving escalated technical issues.
- Support users at jobsites with network and technical issues.
- Ensure smooth integration and operation of networked systems and business applications.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Windows Server 2019/2022, O365, Azure AD, and virtualization (Hyper-V).
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (SCCM, SolarWinds, etc.).
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Hands-on experience with firewall configuration, IDS/IPS, and security policies.
- Familiarity with enterprise wireless networks, VoIP systems, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Skills & Certifications:
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, Security , ITIL Foundation.
- Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Networking, Systems, or related field with 4 years of experience OR 7 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Minimum of 4 years managing and supporting network infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
