Admissions Coordinator
Job Description: Supports our front-end operations and ensure a seamless admissions process for patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate patient admissions, including gathering documentation and verifying insurance.
Work closely with healthcare providers, case managers, and social workers to facilitate a smooth transition for patients.
Maintain accurate records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Provide compassionate support to patients and families during the admission process.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
Collaborate with the billing department to ensure proper documentation for insurance verification and pre-authorization.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in admissions, healthcare administration, or medical office coordination preferred.
Strong knowledge of insurance verification, Medicaid/Medicare eligibility, and patient intake procedures.
Proficiency in EHR systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and medical billing software.
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
