MDS Associate
SHIFT: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Track admissions/discharges and organize/circulate paperwork according to established procedures including, but not limited to:
- Receiving/forwarding hospital screens
- Medicare determination forms & ICD10 coding
- Gather information to fax to insurance providers as indicated
- Set up packets & folders for admissions
- Process Medicare exhaust and discharge letters
- Maintains Resident rights, and Corporate Compliance standards
- Maintains HIPAA privacy, security, and confidentiality standards
- Follows all established policies and procedures
- Represents the organization professionally
- Interacts positively with Residents, family members, personnel, and visitors under a variety of conditions and circumstances
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in computer applications required
- Must have attention to detail, stellar organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize
- Able to communicate effectively while working in a fast-paced environment and to be a self starter
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment and misappropriation of property
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Expertise and experience required for the task
- Demonstrated ability in interpersonal skills
